Gardening For Birds-Heather Catania 9:30- 10:30 a.m.
We all love to hear the birds singing in the spring and see birds at our feeders, but they need more than what we can provide with just a backyard bird feeder. This program will talk about how to landscape your yard with native plants to attract birds and how to provide the three basic necessities needed for nesting birds. Gardens can be more than just beautiful flowers and colorful leaves. Adding the right plants will bring your garden to life with bird song!
Backyard Bird Watching – Mike Champagne 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon
Spring is here and many birds are returning from their winter homes. Some are only passing through on their way north, while others will be spending the summer and nesting season in our area. Many can be seen and heard in our backyards. This program will provide many helpful hints on identifying these birds by sight and sound, as well as information about their natural history and conservation.
These presentations are free of charge, however we ask that you please register for them by calling the museum at (269) 637-3251 or email email@example.com
